There is truly no occasion where a patisserie is not relevant. Be it breakfasts, weddings, corporate luncheons, or just a lazy day at home, pastries are just the addition needed to take a moment from decent to amazing. Recently, the Amazing Edibles Staff had the pleasure of tasting samples of macarons, petit fours, and cupcakes from Vanille, an authentic french patisserie. Among our staff favorites were: the tarts (lemon, passion fruit creme brulee, apple, and chocolate peanut butter--pictured on top left), the cheesecake petit four (pictured bottom middle), and the sea salt caramel macaron (pictured on bottom left). Twisting modern flavors with authentic french pasteries, Vanille does not disappoint.
Founded in 2002, Vanille now has 4 Chicago locations, and serves a wide array of cakes, petit fours, handmade chocolates and candies, breakfast pastries, and macarons. With options, including catering to afternoon tea, Vanille offers a variety of ways in which to enjoy pastry eating.
