DINNER SILHOUETTE: The Stein

The Beer Stein & Mug

Robust and rowdy, the Stein is sturdy enough for a hearty toast with your friends. It calls back into memory the days of the tankard that lined beer and mead halls, and organized the most riotous of get-togethers. In mighty celebrations and boastful battles come, the Stein is one of the oldest and most traditional of glassware.

While a glass Beer Mug and an earthenware Beer Stein are visually different, their function remains the same. These handled mugs are meant to gulp down beer in a larger amount than other glassware may hold. The thickness also maintains the cool temperature of your brew, and a handle to keep the heat of your palm away. This glass brings out the tradition behind sharing a drink, and appreciating the simple ways that bring people together.

This mug works best with American and Scottish ales, or Irish dry stouts. What better meal to eat with a large mug in your hand than a plate of bangers and mash, peas, and fresh whole grain bread.
